'God Is Able' Capital Campaign

Thank you for being part of the wonderful prayer walk this past Sunday night. As Cynthia and I prayed and walked through our facilities, I was encouraged and blessed to see our church members in hallways, classrooms, offices, and other places praying for our church. One of our deacons even asked for my keys so he could sit in my office and pray for me specifically. What a blessing that was! We had new members as well as long-time members, young adults and older adults—all praying for God to work and move in a special way at FBC Statesboro. We ended the night by standing on the piece of property were the new sanctuary will be built, asking God to glorify Himself in what is done through this capital campaign.

On March 25, we will gather for our morning worship services as usual, but the experience will be far from usual, as we make our pledges to the Lord through this capital campaign. Since this is indeed a spiritual journey, we will be making our pledges as an act of worship as we gather as God’s family. I trust you have been praying about how you can be a part of this exciting opportunity and that you will do whatever it is God lays upon your heart. As your pastor, I will not know what your financial pledge is, but I will ask if you did all that God wanted you to do. If each of us does all that God wants us to do, then He will be glorified through it.
So, in these final weeks of our capital campaign, keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep believing. The Bible says God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, so we want the glory to be His in First Baptist Church, throughout all ages, world without end (Eph 3:20-21).
