I’ve just returned from being at our 24 hour prayer vigil, and what a great blessing it was! Cynthia and Bethany went with me, and we joined several other church members who sat prayerfully in our sanctuary, lifting our hearts and minds toward God. Our deacons are hosting this event, and they have done a great job organizing and overseeing the event.
During my time in the sanctuary, I saw husbands & wives, families with children, and other church members taking time from their Friday night schedules to pray. It does my heart good as your pastor to see you committed to prayer as a part of this capital campaign. The sweet spirit that we have sensed during this campaign should remind us that this is not about raising money—it is a spiritual journey through which we are drawing near to God’s heart, allowing Him to work His will within us.
Thank you for the privilege of being your pastor! I am excited as we approach the final stages of this campaign, and I am trusting God to honor and glorify Himself through what we do. Your love, encouragement, and support continue to refresh me each day.
